While visiting Bavaria in September, we had a little outing to a river-crossing and hiking trails on the other side. Just behind where I took the photo on left is a cozy restaurant / guest house. The 'gondolier' was so nice and doesn't charge anything for the 'lift' across the water, but the restaurant staff recommend a small tip.
