finally - a few photos from an historic house I visited. It had a cute little kitchen in the 'basement'
and a church in the attic.
Seems that back in the olden days it was not uncommon that religious service took place in non-religious buildings - there was tolerance for religions of every kind so long as the building where the practice took place was not advertising from the outside - so to speak. I'm really paraphrasing here from the guidebook.
